January 5: COVID-19 Update
On January 4, the Lakewood leadership team learned that three assisted living team members, one independent living team member and a healthcare team member tested positive for COVID-19. These team members are quarantining at home pending completion of the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) return-to-work criteria.
On January 5, the Lakewood leadership team also learned that an independent living resident in Brook and an independent living resident in the Dover building tested positive for COVID-19. These residents are quarantined at home per the guidance from the VDH.
Contact tracing has been completed. Those who were identified as having close contact with anyone who tested positive for COVID-19 will be contacted directly and appropriate steps will be taken. VDH and all licensing agencies have been notified of the positive cases.
The Lakewood team continues to follow all VDH recommendations to prevent the spread of the virus. There will be no changes to the visitation policy for assisted living or healthcare residents.
