January 28: COVID-19 Update

The Lakewood leadership team continues to thank you for your support as COVID-19 cases are reported in the community.

New Positive Results to Report Are as Follows:

  • One healthcare team member who works in the Health Services Building, last worked on Saturday, January 22.
  • One assisted living team member who works in the Rose Building last worked, on January 22.

Family members who wish to visit residents on the first floor of the Rose Building no longer need to schedule a visit.

Communal dining has been reinstated for both the second and third floors of the Health Services Building. Visitors are required to wear a surgical mask when visiting, and those that are visiting COVID-19 positive residents are asked to check in at the nurse’s station.

All COVID-19 positive residents and team members are quarantined and anyone who is identified as having close contact will be contacted directly.

The Virginia Department of Health (VDH) has been notified of the positive cases. The Lakewood team continues to follow all VDH recommendations to prevent the spread of the virus.
