June 5: COVID-19 Update

June 5, 2020

Gov. Ralph Northam (D–Va.) announced that phase two of the re-opening process today, June 5. At this time, Lakewood will also begin to re-open some sections of the community.

All areas of the community will follow strict precautions that align with directions provided by government agencies and reviewed by Lakewood’s supporting physicians and clinical teams.

Already Open

  • Outdoor Dining and Grab-and-Go
  • Religious Services
  • Outdoor Exercise
  • Small Gatherings
  • Business Center
  • Higher levels of care maintenance haircuts once supplies are obtained

Beginning June 10

  • Residents may come and go from the property
  • Most independent move-ins will begin
  • Fitness center and pool will open
  • Indoor dining will open
  • Independent living housekeeping services will restart
  • In-home catering will resume

Beginning June 15

  • Visitors will be permitted to independent living and higher levels of care clean room, once defined
  • Independent living maintenance hair cuts will resume
