The salon in the healthcare area will re-open on September 22. Hours will be Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. Residents may call 521-9255, starting September 15, to schedule an appointment.

Due to state guidelines designed to protect residents, stylists, Lakewood team members and families, salon experiences will be a bit different. e must abide by.

The following are changes residents should prepare for:

• Those who have been in contact with, are displaying any signs of COVID-19 or other contagious illnesses, should reschedule for the safety of everyone.
• To allow for easier social distancing, only two clients per stylist are permitted in the salon at a time and by appointment only. This may reduce the number of clients that can be accommodated in a day.
• Masks must be worn in the salon. Both clients and stylists are required to wear a mask for the entire time they are together. No services that require removing the mask will be done at this time. Masks must go around the ears and not behind the head. If a client does not have one, a disposable mask will be made available for $2 per mask, while in stock.
• A $3 cleaning fee will be added to each appointment. After each client, all equipment and surfaces touched must be properly disinfected. Approximately 15 minutes will be added to every service to allow for proper cleaning.
• Due to high demand and longer cleaning times, if a client is more than 10 minutes late, the appointment will be canceled. All appointments that are missed or canceled less than four hours before the designated time will have a cancellation fee. This fee will amount to either $15 or 50% of the appointment amount—whichever is greater—and will be added to the client’s next appointment.

While these guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19 are cumbersome, the salon team asks that all clients adhere to these procedures. These new policies are to protect everyone. As with any visit to a public space, there is always a risk to your health and safety. Please know that the Lakewood and salon teams are doing everything possible to minimize that risk.
